A Jordanian trade delegation visits Damascus to enhance economic cooperation with Syria.

The President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Khalil Al-Haj Tawfiq, announced that a Jordanian trade delegation will visit Damascus tomorrow for three days, aiming to enhance the economic relations between the two countries.
This was reported by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), where he emphasized Jordan's support for Syria's return to the "Arab embrace" and participation in the "prosperity awaiting it in various fields."
Al-Haj Tawfiq explained that the visit will include intensive meetings with officials in the Syrian economic team, the Chambers of Commerce Union, business owners, and companies, to discuss ways to enhance trade and service cooperation between the two countries.
He added: "There is a strong desire from the commercial sector in Jordan to build a new structure of cooperation and coordination with their counterparts in Syria, contribute to the new phase it has entered, and benefit from the available opportunities in various economic sectors through real partnerships with the Syrian side."
He also emphasized the Jordanian private sector's aspiration to play an "active role" in supporting efforts to rebuild the Syrian economy, especially in banking services and digital transformation.
He stressed the necessity of "removing obstacles to trade flow, enhancing transit trade, and intensifying the exchange of visits, economic delegations, and joint exhibitions."
He concluded by affirming that Jordan wants a "swift return of sisterly Syria to the Arab embrace, to participate in the prosperity awaiting it in various fields."
