Jordan hosts a meeting for the neighboring countries of Syria to discuss common issues and challenges.

The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Friday, March 7, 2025, that the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan will host a meeting for neighboring countries of Syria next Sunday in the capital, Amman.
The meeting aims to discuss ways of cooperation in combating terrorism, drug and weapon trafficking, as well as addressing other common challenges.
The Jordanian news agency "Petra" quoted the ministry's official spokesperson, Ambassador Dr. Sufian Al-Qudah, as saying that the meeting will also discuss ways to support the Syrian people in their efforts to rebuild their country, ensuring its unity, sovereignty, security, stability, and freeing it from terrorism.
The meeting will also focus on providing suitable conditions for the voluntary return of refugees and safeguarding the rights of all Syrian people.
Al-Qudah added that the meeting will include foreign and defense ministers, chiefs of staff, and intelligence directors from Jordan, Turkey, Syria, Iraq, and Lebanon.
