Joint Statement: Signing of More than 10 Agreements between Syria and Turkey

In a joint statement from Ankara today, Tuesday, both parties confirmed that the Council of Foreign Economic Relations will contribute to enhancing cooperation between the public and private sectors of the two neighboring countries. They also affirmed their commitment to improving Syrian customs gateways and their infrastructure, enhancing procedures at customs gateways, and strengthening cooperation between the customs authorities of both countries.
The statement announced an agreement to establish a joint economic and trade committee, and the signing of a Turkish-Syrian memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of administrative development and governance to enhance the institutional infrastructure of Syria, and to establish mechanisms for improving the quality of public services, in addition to defining institutional steps for rebuilding the Syrian industry.
