In controversial statements, former Barcelona player Jeffren Suarez warned about the behavior of promising young player Lamine Yamal, a star of the Catalan team, emphasizing that he is not the player who makes the difference alone, compared to his teammates like Pedri, and explaining that it is similar to what Lionel Messi was in his early days when he heavily relied on the support of Xavi and Iniesta.
Lamine Yamal, who recently turned 18, has caused a wide stir due to his off-field behavior, as he showcased a performance at his birthday with people of short stature, and was spotted in a nightclub with an Argentine singer, according to the newspaper "Marca".
Jeffren said in his statements to "Marca": "He is 18 years old and it is natural that he does not realize the consequences of his actions, but intervention is needed immediately because failing to control him in a timely manner could lead to the end of his career. I believe Barcelona will act wisely".
It is worth mentioning that Jeffren Suarez was one of the stars of Barcelona in the 2010-2011 season, scoring a notable goal in the historic 5-0 victory over Real Madrid.
Jeffren trained at the La Masia academy under Pep Guardiola, and played with several clubs after leaving Barcelona in 2011, before retiring from football in Thailand at the age of 37.
Jeffren's warnings come at a time when Barcelona needs stability from their young star Yamal, who is considered one of the most prominent rising talents, to ensure future successes.
