Italy allocates 4.5 million euros as emergency aid for Syria.

The Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the allocation of 4.5 million euros as urgent aid to support humanitarian efforts in Syria.
This was stated in a statement by the ministry, as reported by the Turkish Anadolu Agency, clarifying that these aids are part of the humanitarian initiatives announced by the Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio, during his visit to Syria last January.
The statement mentioned that these funds will be directed towards the most urgent areas in Syria, including supporting the healthcare sector and hospitals, and improving vital infrastructure.
The ministry emphasized that this aid is in addition to the first shipment of humanitarian aid sent from the United Nations Humanitarian Response Depot in the Italian city of Brindisi late last January, which included medicines and medical supplies.
