Israeli incursion in the northern countryside of Daraa, southern Syria.

Activists on social media, including journalist Omar Al-Hariri, shared information this morning, Tuesday, March 4, 2025, about the Israeli army conducting an airborne operation on Tel Al-Mal in northern Daraa countryside.
These reports coincided with the Israeli army's incursion into the Quneitra countryside in southern Syria.
Al-Hariri noted on the "X" platform that the operation witnessed intensive Israeli helicopter flights in the western and northern countryside of Daraa, and the road connecting the towns of Mashra and Tayha was cut off.
Al-Hariri added that the aerial landing was accompanied by gunfire in the Tel Al-Mal area, which was previously used as a point for Iranian militia and Hezbollah operations.
According to local sources, the objective of the operation was to inspect and destroy a military barracks in the area, after which the Israeli forces withdrew upon completing the mission.
On the other hand, there have been no official comments from the Syrian or Israeli sides regarding these reports.
These developments come hours after the Israeli air force carried out an airstrike on the coastal city of Tartus in western Syria, which reportedly did not result in any human casualties according to the Syrian news agency "SANA."
In a related context, the Israeli army announced the bombing of a military site in the Qardaha area in the Latakia province, describing it as a weapons depot belonging to the former Syrian regime. The Israeli army statement read: "A military site in Qardaha used to store combat equipment belonging to the former Syrian regime was attacked."
These escalations follow statements by Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz, who confirmed last Tuesday the execution of raids on Damascus, warning against any attempts by the current Syrian regime to establish a presence in the southern security zone of Syria.
