Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike today, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, targeting the town of Yater in the district of Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon. A correspondent for "Al Arabiya/Al Hadath" reported that the airstrike resulted in the killing of a Hezbollah member after targeting a motorcycle in Yater. The "National News Agency" announced that the Israeli airstrike was carried out by a drone on a motorcycle on the outskirts of the town of Yater, resulting in one fatality. The Israeli army had announced last Wednesday that it killed Hezbollah leader Hussein Nazih in an airstrike on the city of Tyre in southern Lebanon. According to the "National News Agency," the airstrike targeted a car on the Hosh-Ain Baal road near Tyre. Despite the ceasefire agreement that began on November 27, 2024, Israel continues to carry out airstrikes on southern Lebanon and its east, as well as on the southern suburbs of Beirut, affirming that it will not allow Hezbollah to rebuild its military capabilities. At the same time, the Lebanese army continues its deployment in the south in compliance with the ceasefire agreement, while Israel maintains its military presence in five strategic points in southern Lebanon.
