Israeli Minister Calls for Assassination of Syrian President

Israeli Minister of Diaspora Affairs, Amichai Chikli, called for the assassination of Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shara, amid ongoing Israeli airstrikes on Syria, against the backdrop of tensions in the southern province of Al-Suwayda.
In a tweet on the "X" platform, Chikli said, "Anyone who believes that Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shara is a legitimate leader is gravely mistaken," accusing President Shara of being a "terrorist, killer, barbarian who must be eliminated immediately."
Chikli added that "we should not stand idly by in the face of the Nazi Islamic terrorist regime consisting of Al-Qaeda elements wearing suits," claiming that "we have seen the massacre suffered by the Alawites, which European leaders remained silent about, and now we see acts of killing and humiliation against the Druze."
The Israeli minister emphasized that "we must fight the terrorism regime in Syria," according to him.
In another tweet, Chikli shared a previous video of President Shara speaking to fighters from "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham," commenting that "no agreement should be made with the enemy."
The Israeli minister considered that "people refuse to learn from past mistakes, and they must listen to the enemy, take it seriously, and learn about the basic concepts of political Islam."
