Israeli Forces Arrest Elements in Southern Syria and Launch Ground Incursion in Quneitra

Israeli forces carried out intensive military operations early Monday, July 7, in the province of Quneitra in southern Syria, where they arrested individuals alleged to be "acting on orders from the Iranian Quds Force" during a raid in the Tel Kodna area.
This operation was part of a wide ground incursion that included villages and towns in the central Quneitra countryside, including Ain Al-Zeitoun and Al-Dawayeh, where forces conducted raids and arrests targeting civilians, including a minor.
The Israeli army spokesperson, Avichay Adraee, stated in a post on the "X" platform that the operation was based on precise intelligence from Unit 504, confirming that it is part of a series of operations aimed at "arresting activists posing a threat to regional security," according to his claim. He also noted that this is the second time in a week that occupation forces have carried out similar operations in the region.
According to local sources affiliated with "Daraa 24," the area witnessed intense Israeli military movements, as a force consisting of dozens of military vehicles departed from the Adnanieh base north of Quneitra and positioned near the Fourth Military Security Branch in the village of Nabea Al-Sakhr. Meanwhile, another force supported by police dogs conducted search and raid operations in civilian homes in Ain Al-Zeitoun and Al-Dawayeh, resulting in the arrest of three individuals, including the brothers Ahmed and Adnan Abdel Hamid Al-Karyan, in addition to the minor Marwan Shadi Al-Qaryan (14 years old).
Adraee confirmed that Division 212 forces continue to deploy in southern Syria under the pretext of "preventing the positioning of terrorist elements," considering these operations as aiming to "protect Israel's security." These developments come within the framework of repeated Israeli escalation in the region, which witnesses intense military movements under security pretexts, without any official comment from the Syrian government so far.
