Israel dropped leaflets over the village of "Rab Thalathin" in southern Lebanon today, Tuesday, warning against dealing or cooperating with Hezbollah, indicating that this is under the "pretext of reconstruction".
The leaflets stated that cooperation with the party "will not bring any economic benefit" to the region, and confirmed that Hezbollah is the one that "hinders reconstruction efforts".
This coincided with shelling carried out by Israeli forces yesterday, Monday, targeting two engineering vehicles that were working on rebuilding infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah in the areas of "Yaron" and "Rab Thalathin".
Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraee explained in a statement that these activities carried out by the engineering vehicles represent "a violation of the understandings" between Lebanon and Israel, referring to the existing ceasefire agreements between the two sides.
Israel had previously announced last week that it bombed the towns of "Qal'at al-Shuqif" and "Aita al-Shaab" in southern Lebanon, targeting infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah, including underground facilities.
The Israeli army also confirmed that it targeted a building in Aita al-Shaab that was used by Hezbollah, which was previously a residence for a party member who was killed in an Israeli airstrike a week ago, as he was restoring infrastructure belonging to the party in the area.
Israel continues its military campaign in southern Lebanon, despite the entry of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hezbollah on November 27, 2024.
Despite these agreements, Israeli airstrikes on Hezbollah sites in the region have not ceased, while Israel refuses to withdraw from five strategic sites it occupied during the recent confrontations on the Lebanese-Israeli border.
The situation in the region remains tense, with ongoing disputes between the two sides, amid warnings of a larger escalation that could threaten the stability of the region in general.
