Putin Describes Xi's Initiative for Global Governance as 'Good'.. and Confirms Moscow's Support for It

Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the initiative of his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping for global governance, considering it a positive step towards building a more balanced and multipolar international system.
Putin said during his meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko: "The Chinese president's initiative for global governance is good," referring to Moscow's ongoing support for the Chinese proposal.
Earlier, Putin had reiterated during the expanded session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Tianjin, China, his country's support for this initiative, confirming that it aligns with the organization's efforts to establish a multipolar global system away from unipolarity.
For his part, Chinese President Xi Jinping emphasized the need to defend an international system based on equality and justice, away from hegemony and power politics, noting that the global governance initiative represents the fourth major initiative proposed by China, following initiatives for global development, global security, and global civilization.
The new initiative is based on five main principles: respect for equality in sovereignty, commitment to international law, promotion of multipolarity, adopting a people-centered approach, and focusing on practical measures that achieve tangible results.
