Iraq confirms its support for the political process in Syria and warns against Israeli interventions.

During a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Ankara, Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi affirmed that "Syria is part of Iraq's national security," emphasizing his country's support for an inclusive political process "that includes everyone without exception."
Al-Kadhimi stated that Iraq "supports the unity of Syrian territories and rejects any foreign intervention," considering Syria's stability a priority for his country. He also warned of the danger of "Israeli interventions in Syria," describing them as "a threat to Syria's future and its territorial integrity."
In turn, the Turkish President, during the conference, as reported by the Iraqi News Agency, confirmed that Turkey and Iraq agree on the "priority of achieving security and stability in Syria."
In a related context, Al-Kadhimi clarified during his participation in a program on Iraqi-Turkish relations organized by Anadolu Agency, that "the Iraqi government respects the choices of the Syrians and does not interfere in them," emphasizing that his country "attaches great importance to the security and stability of Syria."
