Internal Security Command in Rural Damascus: Foiling an Attempt to Smuggle a Large Shipment of Weapons to "SDF" Areas

The Internal Security Command in Rural Damascus Governorate managed to execute a well-planned ambush, resulting in the seizure of a large shipment of various weapons and ammunition that were prepared for smuggling to areas controlled by the "SDF", where the driver responsible for transporting the shipment was arrested.

According to the statement, the seized items included "RPG launchers, medium and light weapons, in addition to quantities of ammunition", which were professionally hidden inside the vehicle used in the smuggling operation.

The relevant authorities have initiated their immediate investigations with the aim of "revealing all those involved in the operation, in preparation for referring them to the judiciary and taking legal action against them". This operation came as part of the Ministry of Interior's ongoing efforts "to enhance national security and prevent the smuggling of weapons that threaten public safety".
