Interior Ministry: Two individuals involved in smuggling a shipment of drugs from Lebanon to Syria have been arrested.

The Anti-Drug Administration managed today, Monday, to arrest two individuals involved in smuggling a shipment of drugs coming from Lebanon to Syria.

The Syrian Ministry of Interior stated on its official Telegram channel: "The Anti-Drug Administration arrested both 'M.A' and 'K.K', involved in smuggling a shipment of drugs coming from Lebanese territories towards Syrian territory."

The Ministry added: "They were found in possession of 2000 grams of cocaine, a highly dangerous drug, in addition to a weapon and a sum of money. They have been referred to the competent judicial authorities to take the necessary legal actions against them."
