In an unprecedented military escalation, Israeli occupation aircraft carried out airstrikes on several areas in Syria, escalating tension and destruction further. In the latest development, an Israeli drone targeted the Kanakir area in the countryside of Damascus, resulting in the death of four individuals. The airstrikes continued as Israeli warplanes executed a series of attacks targeting the vicinity of Harasta city in the countryside of Damascus, as well as areas in Daraa, Homs, and Hama. The Israeli airstrikes not only targeted military sites but also civilians, with loud explosions heard in the capital Damascus and its suburbs, causing panic. The most affected areas were between Barzeh and the suburb of Harasta in the countryside of Damascus, in addition to the surroundings of the village of Mothbeen in northern Daraa countryside, resulting in injuries and significant material damage. In the countryside of Latakia, Israeli warplanes targeted the Shu'ara Mountain area, as well as the vicinity of the town of Shahta in the countryside of Hama, intensifying military attacks in the region. The Syrian military media confirmed that the airstrikes included the missile battalion near Mothbeen and the 41st Brigade in the vicinity of Harasta military hospital in the countryside of Damascus. This escalation comes at a sensitive time, as the Druze Sheikh of the Druze community, Hamoud Al-Hanawi, stated that Israeli statements regarding "Syrian Druze" are an international matter unrelated to them, indicating that Israel seeks to exploit the Syrian crisis for its own goals. The intensive flights of Israeli aircraft over the skies of Damascus and Daraa, along with continued attacks on several fronts, reflect a continuous escalation in the region, increasing the suffering of civilians living under constant threat.
