"Erem News" website reported from private Syrian sources that "the new government will consist of 22 ministerial portfolios," with most ministers being new faces with expertise and experience, categorized as technocratic governments. The sources mentioned that the head of the Syrian transitional phase, Ahmed al-Shar'a, who will lead the expected Syrian government, will retain the sovereign ministries as they are now. Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense will remain in their positions, as well as the Ministry of Interior, without finalizing the candidate's name. Prominent Syrian figures will be part of the new government, with Nidal al-Shaar as Minister of Economy, Marwan Habbal as Minister of Higher Education, Hind Qabwat as Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, and Abdul Salam Haykal for the Ministry of Communications.
