In the first direct supply between Russia and Syria since 2013, a "diesel" tanker has arrived in Syria.

The final destination of the cargo has not yet been clarified, according to Reuters today, Thursday, March 6.
According to "LSEG" data, the vessel "Prosperity," flying the flag of Barbados (formerly known as "NS Pride" under the flag of Gabon), was loaded with approximately 37,000 metric tons of low-sulfur diesel at the Russian port of Primorsk on the Baltic Sea on February 8.
Shipping data for "LSEG" company shows that the vessel, managed by "Fornax" ship management based in Dubai, is anchored near the Syrian port of Banias.
The company "Fornax" itself is also subject to U.S. sanctions.
Syrian oil ministry officials did not respond to Reuters' request for comment on this news, and the Russian Energy Ministry also declined to comment.
According to data from the London Stock Exchange group, this is the first diesel shipment to reach Syria directly from Russia since 2013.
