Syria and France Hold Talks to Enhance Educational Cooperation
Syrian Minister of Education Dr. Mohammad Abdul Rahman Turko discussed today, Wednesday, with the Charge d'Affaires of the French Embassy in Damascus Jean-Baptiste Fievet and the accompanying delegation ways to enhance educational cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Turko noted during the meeting that education is one of the fundamental pillars for achieving sustainable development and establishing peace and stability in Syria, and that developing the education sector is a strategic priority for the ministry.

Minister Turko also reviewed the significant challenges facing the educational process in Syria, explaining that the ministry has developed a long-term strategic plan and an emergency response plan to improve the educational situation, focusing on four key elements: developing teachers' skills, improving curricula, supporting students, and rehabilitating school infrastructure.

In turn, the Charge d'Affaires of the French Embassy expressed readiness to enhance cooperation and communication with the Ministry of Education, emphasizing the importance of building distinguished and strong relations between the two countries in the educational field, and exchanging experiences in developing educational systems.

He also highlighted the importance of enhancing continuous cooperation to achieve common visions aimed at building a strong educational system capable of shaping the future of Syria.
