Idlib Governorate Signs Contracts Worth 12 Million Dollars for Comprehensive Infrastructure Projects

Idlib Governorate has signed contracts with the companies "Al-Raqi" and "Arkan" to implement infrastructure development projects worth 12 million dollars, which include the complete repaving of the city of Idlib, rehabilitation of the main road in Sarmada, and repaving several vital streets in the city of Dana.
The signing ceremony was held under the auspices of Idlib Governor Mohammed Abdul Rahman, in the presence of the Deputy Governor Hassan Al-Fajr, Engineer Safwan Badla, Deputy Director of Local Administration and Services, in addition to representatives from the implementing companies and Dr. Marwan Kanjou, Deputy Commissioner-General for Refugee Affairs in Syria.
Idlib Governorate clarified that these projects are part of a development plan aimed at enhancing infrastructure and facilitating transportation, which contributes to improving the quality of services and driving economic development.
For his part, Governor Abdul Rahman confirmed that this step aligns with the "Reconstruction Vision" launched by the governorate, pointing to ongoing efforts to ensure a safe and dignified return for the displaced. He revealed the opening of four service centers in Saraqib, Ma'arrat al-Nu'man, Khan Shaykhun, and Sinjar, in addition to an advanced point in the Abu al-Duhur area, and a specialized center for removing unexploded ordnance in Ma'arrat al-Nu'man in cooperation with the Syrian Civil Defense.
In the context of infrastructure projects, Abdul Rahman mentioned the removal of 100,000 cubic meters of rubble in the cities of Ma'arrat al-Nu'man, Saraqib, and Khan Shaykhun, and the removal of earthen berms along 30 kilometers of the Aleppo - Damascus road east of Saraqib, and the Saraqib - Ariha road. Three pedestrian bridges have also been constructed on the Sarmada - Idlib road to enhance traffic safety, and 15,000 cubic meters of rubble from Jisr al-Shughur Hospital have been recycled to pave an agricultural road 3 kilometers long.
