Higher Education Conducts Talks with the Lebanese Side to Enhance Scientific Cooperation

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Marwan Al-Halabi, discussed enhancing cooperation in the scientific field between the two countries with the Charge d'Affaires of the Lebanese Embassy in Damascus, Talal Daher.
Minister Al-Halabi, during the meeting held today at the ministry in Damascus, highlighted the special and historical relations between the two countries, emphasizing that Syria and Lebanon are one people in two geographical regions.
Minister Al-Halabi also emphasized the importance of strengthening bilateral relations in higher education, framing laws to assist in the return of Syrian students, and continuing agreements of cooperation, cultural exchange, and university exchange, affirming the ministry's readiness to cooperate with the Lebanese side in all areas.
The Charge d'Affaires of the Lebanese side acknowledged the distinguished historical bilateral relations between the two countries and their shared living, and discussed the possibility of providing facilities for Lebanese students in terms of residence duration, expressing the aspiration to enhance relations and cooperation in the upcoming period.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Gaith Warqouzq, the Student Affairs Director, Dr. Abdul Hamid Al-Khaled, and the Director of Cultural Relations at the Ministry, Dr. Nimir Issa.
