Georgia announces easing entry for Syrians and Gulf residency holders without prior visa.

Georgia has announced easing entry conditions for citizens of Syria and 16 other countries classified as "high-risk categories," starting from May 16, as part of its efforts to boost tourism and expand trade cooperation with the region.
According to local media reports, Syrians will be able to enter Georgian territory without the need for a prior visa, provided they hold a multiple-entry visa or a valid residency permit from one of the six Gulf countries: UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman.
It is worth noting that this step comes after more than five months since the fall of the previous regime in Syria, where the Syrian passport was considered one of the weakest globally in terms of the number of countries allowing entry without a visa.
