In a remarkable first-of-its-kind step, Dr. Imad Al-Ayoubi, the Director of the General Authority of the University City in Damascus, announced the launch of a new humanitarian initiative aimed at supporting students residing in university housing and alleviating their suffering upon returning from travel. Al-Ayoubi explained that the initiative includes providing two service cars to transport students' luggage from the Al-Mawasat Gate to the residential units in the Mezzeh complex and at the Adab Tunnel, free of charge and with full support from the civil society. The Director emphasized that this step is part of the Authority and civil society's commitment to improving students' living conditions within the university city, assisting them in easy transportation, especially when returning from travel with heavy luggage. He added that this service will save students significant effort, time, and provide them with comfort, especially in hard-to-reach places due to the size of their bags or distance. Al-Ayoubi pointed out that the initiative is not merely recreational but an expression of the civil society's appreciation for students' situation and concern for their daily needs, noting a plan to double the number of service cars in the near future and expand the initiative to include more students in the university city. This new step is part of a series of initiatives aimed at improving student life and providing a suitable environment to help students focus on their studies and achieve their academic aspirations away from daily struggles.
