"Fordow" does not leave Netanyahu's desire despite escalation.. Learn about the importance of the Iranian facility!

The war has reached a point of no return, with both sides continuing their intense strikes despite both being out of breath. Iran still shows remarkable stability and offensive capability, while Israel on the other side does not seem concerned about the increasing losses with each missile strike. In these extremely tense moments, it heavily relies on the United States entering the battlefield, as it is unable to target the highly fortified Fordow facility located south of Tehran.

Why Fordow and why all this insistence on destroying it?

The Fordow uranium enrichment facility is located about 95 kilometers southwest of the capital Tehran. It was built inside a tunnel complex under a mountain about 32 kilometers northeast of the city of Qom, at a depth of approximately half a mile underground, within a military base belonging to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

It is the most fortified among Iranian nuclear facilities, housing enrichment and centrifuge devices. It was built under mountains, making it difficult to target with conventional bombs, requiring bombs capable of penetrating depths. Hence, there is much talk now about using the "GBU-57" bomb, possessed only by the United States.

Many reports suggest that the facility is hidden under solid rocks and covered with reinforced concrete, making it out of reach of any known Israeli weapons.

The facility, according to the International Atomic Energy Agency data, consists of two halls dedicated to uranium enrichment, designed to accommodate 16 cascades of gas centrifuge machines of the IR-1 model, evenly distributed between two units, totaling about 3,000 centrifuge machines.
