The complete power outage continues in the provinces of Daraa and As-Suwayda for the second consecutive day due to a fault in one of the high-voltage lines supplying the area.

A source at the electricity company stated, according to local reports, that "repair work on the high-voltage lines has begun, with the arrival of supporting vehicles and workshops to repair the 230 kV high-voltage line between Al-Kiswa and Sheikh Maskin."

The source added that "it is expected to complete the repair of this line today and restore power to the southern region, as work will also be carried out in parallel to repair the Deir Ali - Sheikh Maskin line."

Local sources in Daraa also mentioned that "electricity was completely cut off after the 230 kV high-voltage line, connecting the Deir Ali and Sheikh Maskin stations, went out of service."

According to the source, technical workshops are trying to provide a temporary solution through a 66 kV low-voltage line, but this solution will only cover the minimum needs, including operating the water pumping station.

Prior to this, the 230 kV high-voltage line connecting the Deir Ali and Sheikh Maskin stations had experienced malfunctions in the area west of the town of Khirbet Ghazaleh in northern Daraa countryside.
