Explosion in Latakia caused by a missile from remnants of the previous regime.

The official government newspaper "Al-Thawra" reported on Monday, April 14, hearing a loud explosion in the city of Latakia, with smoke rising near the "Sadkop" fuel company in the suburb area.
The newspaper mentioned that fire trucks immediately headed to the scene, without providing further details about the nature or exact location of the explosion.
Local sources stated that the explosion on the outskirts of the city was caused by the dismantling of a missile from remnants of the previous regime.
On the other hand, Engineer Hassan Abu Qasra, the director of the fuel branch in Latakia, denied the circulating news about a gas tanker explosion, confirming that the incident resulted from an old missile that fell in an area near the Latakia gas plant.
Abu Qasra emphasized that "thanks to God, there were no human or material damages due to the explosion."
