Billionaire Elon Musk launched a scathing attack on the Republican Party, describing it as the "party of the fat pig," following Congress's approval of a new record debt ceiling of five trillion dollars.
Musk expressed his strong displeasure with the rising government spending and national debt in a series of posts on the X platform (formerly Twitter), calling for the emergence of a new political party that truly cares about the people's interests.
In a sharp message to members of Congress who voted in favor of the increase, Musk said: "Anyone who declares spending cuts and then votes for the largest debt increase should be ashamed and hang their head in shame! They will lose in the next primaries if this is the last thing I do on this earth."
Musk's statements reflect his growing concern about America's financial stability amid global economic challenges, and come amidst uncertainty about the current administration's stance on financial policies, despite not directly mentioning Donald Trump, whom Musk still counts among his close allies.
