Egypt condemns repeated Israeli attacks on Syria and Lebanon

Egypt condemned the repeated Israeli attacks on the territories of Syria and Lebanon, and the blatant violation they represent of the sovereignty of the two sisterly Arab countries, and a breach of international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained in a statement published on its website that these repeated Israeli violations deepen tension and constitute a fundamental element of instability in Syria, Lebanon, and the region, amid a delicate situation where regional and international efforts are being exerted with effective Egyptian participation to de-escalate and support regional security and stability.
The Foreign Ministry reiterated Egypt's position calling for the necessity to respect the sovereignty of both Syria and Lebanon, and the complete rejection of interference in their internal affairs, and respect for the unity and integrity of their territories.
Several Arab countries condemned the Israeli attacks on Syrian territories yesterday, describing them as a flagrant violation of international law and a dangerous escalation in the region.
