Egypt.. 85 Injured in Train Derailment in Matrouh Governorate

The Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population reported today, Saturday (August 30, 2025), that the number of injured due to the derailment of passenger train cars in Matrouh Governorate, northwest of Egypt, has risen to 85 injured.

The ministry clarified that among the injured, five cases were described as serious and critical, while the remaining cases are receiving necessary medical care in the governorate's hospitals.
