President Donald Trump arrived today, Wednesday, in the Qatari capital Doha coming from Saudi Arabia as part of his Gulf tour. Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani welcomed Trump at the beginning of his visit to Doha. After participating in the Gulf-American Summit in Riyadh, the American President headed to the Qatari capital before heading to the United Arab Emirates on Thursday, the last stop on his Gulf tour. Qatar's official television stated that the visit will last for two days, and it is expected that agreements will be signed in the fields of defense, investment, and education, enhancing the strategic partnership between the two countries. Qatar News Agency "QNA" mentioned that "President Trump's visit reflects Qatar's prominent position as a strategic partner of the United States." It added: "The visit heralds a new and promising stage in the growing cooperation and friendship between the two countries." It continued: "The annual dialogue between the two countries embodies the depth of their strong relations."
