Security forces launch a comprehensive campaign in Deir ez-Zor to combat terrorism and organized crime.

The Internal Security Forces in Deir ez-Zor province, in cooperation with the Ministry of Defense forces, launched a wide-scale security campaign this Monday, June 16th, targeting unlawful elements, including cells involved in terrorist activities, kidnappings, and drug trafficking. This campaign is part of efforts to enhance security and restore stability in the region.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Interior on its "Telegram" channel, Colonel Darrar Al-Shamlan, the head of Internal Security in Deir ez-Zor, stated that the campaign started from the Al-Mayadeen area in the countryside of the province, following a meticulous plan and detailed study of the field conditions. He explained that the operations will gradually continue to control areas where suspicious activities are monitored.
Al-Shamlan emphasized "the continuous commitment of the Internal Security Forces to fulfill their duty until achieving comprehensive security and establishing the rule of law," urging citizens to "cooperate with security authorities and report immediately any illegal activity," stressing that "security is a shared responsibility that requires the collaboration of everyone."
Meanwhile, security forces in Deir ez-Zor are working on organizing traffic flow and addressing violations, especially in densely populated neighborhoods, as part of their plans to enhance public order and restore discipline to the streets and society.
