Energy Minister Engineer Mohammed Al-Bashir discussed today, Monday, with Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Yaser Barnieh the mechanism for amending the electricity tariff in Syria and reviewing the associated financial fees.
The two sides also discussed the possibility of amending the current electricity tariff to alleviate the financial burden on the state in light of the current economic conditions.
It was emphasized the importance of coordination between the two ministries to ensure that well-considered decisions are made that take into account the economic and social dimensions, serving both the interests of the citizen and the national economy at the same time.
