The Israeli artillery's roar doesn't cease, with the sounds of explosions echoing in the distance. The scene in Daraa is escalating, with confrontations taking a new turn unseen before in southern Syria. In a striking development, armed clashes erupted between locals in Daraa and Israeli occupation forces, amidst intense movements of the city's youth towards Nuwa, where intensive helicopter flights are observed evacuating the injured from the ranks of the Israeli army after they fell into a well-planned ambush executed by the residents, resulting in casualties among the occupation forces. The Israeli response was swift and violent... Intensive airstrikes targeted the Jbailia forest west of Nuwa, resulting in the deaths of 10 residents of the city, coinciding with renewed artillery shelling targeting Tel al-Jumou' west of Daraa, in a desperate attempt to control the situation. Amidst these developments, direct clashes broke out in the city of Nuwa between elements of the Israeli army and groups of Daraa residents, in an unprecedented scene opening the door to possibilities of further escalation in the coming hours. However, the most notable event took place at Hama military airport, witnessing one of the most intense aerial bombardments in recent years, with more than 23 airstrikes in just 30 minutes, leading to the near-complete destruction of the airport, including the runways and all parked aircraft, in a development that may have serious implications on the regional military scene. The rapid escalation prompted the Syrian Foreign Ministry to issue an angry statement condemning the Israeli attacks, considering them a "deliberate attempt to reignite chaos in Syria," calling on the international community to urgently act to put an end to this aggression. Are we witnessing the beginning of a new equation in southern Syria? Only the coming days can answer amidst rapid developments hinting at something bigger.
