Damascus Governorate prohibits the circulation of motorcycles.

The governorate stated on Tuesday, March 4th, that "the circular exempts motorcycles with legal permits," emphasizing that "violators will face legal accountability and their motorcycles will be confiscated."
It added that "the circular is based on current laws and regulations, due to the increasing traffic accidents, and in order to ensure public safety."
Two men died and three others were injured in four separate traffic accidents in Syria on Monday, March 3rd.
The "Syrian Civil Defense" stated that failure to adhere to traffic priorities, speeding, poor road conditions, children driving cars and motorcycles, not following safety procedures and traffic laws, and not ensuring the technical condition of vehicles (brakes, lights, tires) and regularly inspecting them are among the main causes of accidents.
