Damascus and "Doctors Without Borders" Discuss Challenges in the Health Sector

The Syrian Minister of Health, Dr. Musab Al-Ali, discussed with a delegation from "Doctors Without Borders" led by the organization's Director General in Japan, Senjiro Murata, ways to enhance joint cooperation to improve the reality of the health sector in Syria.
The meeting was held at the Ministry of Health in Damascus, and it comes within the framework of enhancing humanitarian and medical coordination, where both parties discussed the challenges facing citizens' access to healthcare services, ways to support health facilities, and improve the services provided to citizens, especially in the most affected areas.
Both sides emphasized the importance of intensifying field and logistical cooperation to ensure the provision of healthcare to those in need, and exchanging experiences and practices within a structured and sustainable framework.
The meeting comes as part of the Ministry of Health's efforts to strengthen partnerships with international organizations working in the humanitarian and medical sectors, aiming to elevate the level of health services and improve the response to the increasing needs across the Syrian geography.
