The meeting, attended by representatives of the Premier League clubs in the Syrian football league, resulted in a decision to complete the first half of the league in neutral venues after the middle of next month, cancel the second half, and replace it with a "playoff" involving the top four clubs at the end of the first half, with additional incentive points to carry over to the "playoff" stage.
Raghdan Shahada, a member of the Football Association supervisory committee, stated: "All decisions made in today's meeting regarding all categories were approved by all clubs, and the adopted decision was the best proposal to solve the stalled season issue," adding: "All clubs expressed their readiness to participate, and the upcoming stage will be a preparation for the league's resumption."
On another note, the youth, junior, and cadet leagues for Premier League teams will be completed as previously planned, considering that these categories have completed more than half of the season. The Olympic league has been canceled to reduce financial burdens on the clubs.
Regarding the First Division league, a similar meeting will be held tomorrow to assess the situation of the clubs and the league and how to proceed.
