Communication and internet services in Daraa and Al-Suwayda have been disrupted.

Communication and internet services have stopped in the provinces of Daraa and Al-Suwayda due to the disruption of the optical cable connecting Daraa to Damascus.
Engineer Ahmed Al-Hariri, the director of the Daraa branch of the telecommunications, explained today, Sunday, March 9, that the disruption of the optical cable linking Daraa to Damascus has led to the interruption of communication and internet services in the provinces of Daraa and Al-Suwayda.
Quoting the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), Al-Hariri stated that this incident is a result of repeated attacks on the telecommunications infrastructure, leading to the cutting of the vital optical cable that connects the two provinces to the main communication centers.
Al-Hariri emphasized that maintenance teams from the Syrian Telecommunications Establishment are working around the clock to repair the faults as quickly as possible, noting that the restoration of service depends on the availability of necessary materials to complete the repair process entirely.
Al-Hariri added: These incidents harm citizens and affect the continuity of essential services, calling for the protection of the telecommunications infrastructure to ensure the continuous and effective provision of communication and internet services.
