In a step reflecting a strong commitment to supporting the Syrian economy, Dr. Abdulkader Al-Husseini, Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, recently met with a high-level delegation from Kuwait Projects Company Holding and representatives from the Jordan Kuwait Bank. The meeting discussed areas of mutual cooperation to enhance the financial sector and contribute to revitalizing the national economy. Kuwait Projects Company Holding expressed deep gratitude for the continuous support provided by the Central Bank of Syria, emphasizing that this support is crucial in restoring stability to the Syrian Gulf Bank and its gradual recovery. The group's CEO expressed their aspiration to be active partners in the reconstruction of Syria, which they describe as the "beating heart of the East." During the official meeting, the delegation from Kuwait Projects Company and the Jordan Kuwait Bank reiterated their full commitment to supporting the Syrian economy in line with the group's long-term vision to be a key partner in development and reconstruction efforts. The group announced that the owners of the Syrian Gulf Bank are making rapid efforts to form a new board of directors to enhance the bank's ability to gradually return to its targeted operational levels, in compliance with the directives of the Central Bank of Syria. In a statement on this occasion, Sheikha Dana Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, CEO of Kuwait Projects Company Holding, emphasized the group's high appreciation for the fruitful support and cooperation from the Central Bank of Syria, expressing great optimism about the future of the Syrian economy. Sheikha Dana said, "We believe that Syria will return to being the beating heart of the East, pivotal and leading among the region's economies, based on its rich history, promising human resources, strategic location, and abundant natural resources." She added, "We eagerly look forward to contributing to the reconstruction and prosperity of Syria through our companies operating in banking, real estate development, oil and logistics services, education, food and medical supplies, and other vital sectors."
