Casualties and injuries in a shelling on the city of Manbij.

A woman has died and a number of civilians were injured in a rocket attack that targeted civilian areas in the countryside of Manbij city, east of Aleppo in Syria.
According to the "Syrian Civil Defense," in a post on its official Facebook page, "a rocket attack occurred early this morning, Saturday, February 15, on residential neighborhoods in Manbij city."
The Syrian Civil Defense accused the "Syrian Democratic Forces" known as "SDF" of causing one death and several injuries.
The Civil Defense added that "the shelling targeted civilian homes, the main road, and a mosque in the town of Khafsah in the countryside of Manbij, east of Aleppo, early this morning."
According to the Civil Defense, the shelling resulted in the death of a woman and the injury of six others.
The Civil Defense considered that "targeting public facilities, places of worship, and civilian property is a clear violation of international norms."
Local news pages in the town of "Khafsah" reported that "rocket shelling targeted houses owned by civilians, resulting in casualties among its residents."
Clashes are ongoing between the "SDF" and the "National Army" forces at the Tishrin Dam east of Manbij city, after the "National Army" took control of Manbij city and Tel Rifaat from the "SDF" as part of its "Operation Dawn of Freedom" launched on November 30, 2024.
On the other hand, the "SDF" accuses Turkey of shelling a gathering of civilians who had gathered for a sit-in near the Tishrin Dam despite the ongoing battles and mutual shelling.
Turkey, on its part, claims that the "SDF" is using civilians as "human shields" in this area, which is considered a violation of international law.
