The British government announced today, Tuesday, the sending of a package of humanitarian aid to over 85,000 people in Syria to support humanitarian needs.

In a statement on its official website, the British government said: "The aid package includes medical and humanitarian support, which includes the provision of food supplies, clean water, basic healthcare for the displaced, and general hygiene and sanitation supplies in both Sweida, Daraa, and the rural areas of Damascus."

According to the British government, the aid includes sending mobile medical teams to provide urgent healthcare and distributing medicines and care equipment for emergency cases to health centers.

It noted that the value of this aid amounts to £1.7 million, and it will be implemented through partnerships with the United Nations Population Fund, the International Medical Relief Agency, and local Syrian organizations in cooperation with the Support Fund for Syria.

The British government reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring regional and global security, emphasizing the need to take measures to ensure that aid reaches those who need it.
