Biden Undergoes New Surgery to Remove Cancerous Skin Cells

This surgery comes months after Biden, who is 82 years old, announced his diagnosis of prostate cancer last May, a type described by his medical team as "aggressive but hormone-sensitive," giving him a good chance of responding to treatment.
Biden previously underwent similar surgery in 2023 during his presidency, where abnormal skin tissues were removed that later turned out to be basal cell carcinoma.
Biden's physical and mental health has been closely monitored since he took office, and he unexpectedly ended his re-election campaign in July 2024, following a poor performance in a debate against current President Donald Trump, raising concerns within the Democratic Party.
Since leaving the White House, Biden has reduced his media appearances, limiting himself to a speech last April in which he defended social security programs against proposed cuts by the Trump administration.
