The U.S. envoy to Syria, Tom Barak, called on all Syrian parties to avoid violence and adopt dialogue as a means to resolve differences, emphasizing that diplomacy is the best solution to achieve stability and peace in the country.

This came in a post published by Barak today on the "X" platform, where he expressed his concern over the violent incidents that took place in the cities of Sweida and Manbij yesterday, saying: "Worrying violence erupted yesterday in Sweida and Manbij, diplomacy is the best way to stop the violence and build a peaceful and lasting solution."

The U.S. envoy pointed to his country's mediation efforts to find peaceful solutions, explaining: "The United States is proud to assist in mediating a solution in Sweida, and in its partnership with France to reintegrate northeastern Syria into a unified Syria."

Barak concluded his post by sending a message to the Syrian parties, urging them to maintain calm, saying: "The way forward is in the hands of the Syrians, and we urge all parties to maintain calm and resolve differences through dialogue, not bloodshed. Syria deserves stability, and Syrians deserve peace."
