The Charge d'Affaires of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Damascus, Alnur Shah Huseynov, said today, Wednesday, that the flow of Azerbaijani natural gas to Syria through Turkey, scheduled for August 2, 2025, represents a historic event awaited by the friendly peoples and embodies the depth of the mutual cooperation relations between the two countries.
In statements to "SANA", Huseynov added: "The Azerbaijani leadership attaches special importance to the relations with the new Syria, which has been welcomed and responded to by the Syrian side, leading to the establishment of friendship and mutual cooperation relations in line with the interests of both friendly countries and peoples".
He continued: "The new Syrian administration, led by President Shar'a, is continuously working to solve all the problems facing the Syrian people, especially the economic ones, in order to drive the development process and improve the quality of life of the citizens".
