Assala Nasri responds to the controversy surrounding her Saudi nationality.

Rumors spread about the Syrian artist Assala Nasri obtaining Saudi citizenship, following a controversial comment by the head of the Saudi Entertainment Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh, during his celebration of the decrease in unemployment rates in the kingdom, where he wrote: "Long live my country."

However, Assala quickly denied these rumors, clarifying that she does not hold Saudi citizenship, despite her great love for the kingdom and its people.

In her statements, she emphasized that she holds the same feelings for many Arab countries, such as Egypt, Lebanon, the UAE, and Iraq, without holding their nationalities.

The Syrian artist, who has held Bahraini citizenship since 2005 after participating in the operetta "Love and Loyalty" in Manama, considers all Arab countries her homeland thanks to the love of her fans and their continuous support.

Assala, born in Damascus in 1969, the daughter of the artist Mustafa Nasri, began her artistic career in childhood through national songs and cartoons.
