A source in the "Men of Dignity" movement reported the arrest of several suspects in the murder of the citizens found in the Kanaker tombs west of Sweida city yesterday, Thursday.
The source, as per "Sweida24," explained that "the movement carried out a series of raids last night, starting in Sweida city, where the victims' 'Hyundai Porter' car was found inside a garage, and its owner was arrested."
The source added that "the garage owner claimed to have rented it to a person in the town of Atel north of Sweida city, where the movement raided the latter's house and arrested his son, as well as a person working with him, and a relative who tried to resist the movement's members." He further stated that "the number of detainees is three, two of whom are from Sweida, and the third is from the Nabek area, belonging to the National Defense militia in the Zahra sector, who escaped from Adra prison on the regime's fall day where he was detained for a murder crime.
Adding that two of the detainees confessed to their involvement in the kidnapping of the victims, and one witnessed their murder, while confirming that two other perpetrators are on the run, and efforts are underway to locate them in cooperation with the public security."
The source pointed out that the movement informed the security apparatus in the province before taking action, as it is still active, confirming that all suspects have been handed over to the authorities for further investigation, along with the victims' car.
He indicated that "the movement is in the process of issuing a statement detailing the operation that was carried out."
Sweida city witnessed a horrific crime yesterday, Thursday, in which citizens Abdul Qader Sheikh Mous and Abdul Rahman Jabqji were killed after being lured, kidnapped, and then executed.
A source close to the victims confirmed that "their families received their bodies today, mentioning that the authorities informed them of finding their car and arresting some of the crime suspects."
