Al-Suwayda: A demonstration against the policies of the interim transitional government.

The local network "Al-Rased" reported today, Thursday, March 6, that "a number of protesters gathered in Al-Karama Square, raising slogans criticizing the new administration, accusing it of exclusion, and rejecting its current form."
The network "Al-Suwayda 24" posted a video recording of the protest, indicating that "the protest was in response to calls circulating on social media against the administration's policies."
The protesters carried the Druze sect flag, and raised pictures of Sheikh Hikmat Al-Hajri, one of the three main spiritual leaders of Al-Suwayda, and Sheikh Mufaq Tarif, the Druze sect leader in Palestine and the occupied Golan Heights.
In Al-Suwayda, the leadership of the Druze sect is an inherited spiritual authority, with three main families at the top: Al-Hajri, Jarbuo, and Al-Hanawi, along with other spiritual leaders.
It is worth mentioning that today's protest came after the announcement by the "Men of Dignity" movement, the largest military faction in Al-Suwayda, that the Syrian Ministry of Interior activated the "General Security Forces" in the province, with local personnel from the same province.
The movement stated in a statement today that "the entry of the General Security into the province was coordinated between 'Men of Dignity,' 'Dignity Addition,' 'Free People of Jabal Al-Arab' on one side, and the Ministry of Interior on the other side."
It added that local personnel and leaders from Al-Suwayda are leading the work of the "General Security," aiming to control the security situation, combat crime and drugs, with logistical support from the Ministry of Interior.
