The port of Tartous received today, Monday, the first ship loaded with cars since the fall of the former regime, carrying about 3200 cars.
The port administration confirmed that this event is an important indicator of the start of the recovery phase of commercial activity and the return of vitality to Syrian ports after years of stagnation and decline.
Similarly, gas carriers have successively arrived at the Banias oil terminal as part of efforts to provide domestic gas and enhance economic stability.
In statements to journalists, several car dealers mentioned that the ship is coming from South Korea, loaded with European cars directly to the port of Tartous without any barriers or obstacles. They highlighted the facilitations provided by the government, which aim to facilitate procedures for citizens to obtain cars at reasonable prices.
On January 19th, a ship carrying 90 new "double cabin pickup trucks" arrived at the port of Tartous, marking a positive sign of the beginning of the recovery of commercial activity and the return of economic activity to Syrian ports after years of decline.
