The Syrian Minister of Sports forms a governance committee to enhance transparency and institutional reform.

The Syrian Minister of Sports and Youth, Mohammad Sameh al-Hamad, issued a decision to form a Governance Committee within the ministry, aiming to enhance transparency and institutional work within the sports sector.
The committee will develop specific strategic plans with a clear timeline to achieve the ministry's vision, focusing on monitoring program implementation, evaluating the performance of its affiliated institutions, and submitting periodic reports outlining obstacles and proposed solutions.
It will also be responsible for developing the workforce in the fields of sports and youth media, club and federation management, supporting youth initiatives, school tournaments, and driving digital transformation within the ministry's operations.
According to the decision, the committee must present its action plan within two weeks of its formation, reporting directly to the minister's office.
The committee includes: Majd Haj Ahmad as the chairman, along with Rami Sbayi, Dr. Dana Shbat, Abeer Al-Kan, Samer Al-Qudor, Eyad Bishara, Shakib Al-Shamali, and Mohannad Haj Hamada as members.
