High-level Saudi Delegation Arrives in Damascus to Enhance Economic Cooperation at Saudi-Syrian Forum

A high-level Saudi delegation arrived in the Syrian capital, Damascus, today, Wednesday, July 23, led by Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, to participate in the Saudi-Syrian Forum at the direction of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince.
The Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that the delegation includes more than 130 Saudi businessmen and investors, a clear indication of the official and private Saudi interest in developing economic relations with Syria.
The forum aims to explore ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and to study opportunities for signing strategic agreements that support sustainable development and expand the scope of common economic interests. This step marks an important development in the relationship between Riyadh and Damascus, which may lead to a qualitative leap in future cooperation.
