Around 97,000 Syrian Refugees Have Returned to Their Country Since the Beginning of the Current Year

The Jordanian Interior Minister, Mazen Al-Faraya, announced that around 97,000 Syrian refugees have voluntarily returned from Jordan to their country since the beginning of the current year.

The Jordanian Kingdom Channel quoted Al-Faraya as saying in statements today, during the opening of the Integrated Border Management Operations Room at the Jaber Border Crossing with Syria: "The Jaber Border Crossing witnessed the largest movement of travelers and cargo before the blessed Eid al-Adha since its opening."

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees said that around 100,000 Syrian refugees have voluntarily returned from Jordan to their country, from December 8, 2024, until June 30, 2025, expecting an increase in the pace of Syrian refugees' return during the coming period.
