Armed attack on the Criminal Security branch in Latakia.

According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, unidentified gunmen attacked the Criminal Security branch in the city of Latakia on Sunday, 09/02/2025, targeting the building perimeter with hand grenades before fleeing, with no information on human casualties.

The city witnessed a wide deployment of Criminal Security forces, intensively spread throughout, conducting night patrols to search for the attackers and enhance security in the area.

It is worth mentioning a previous attack by unidentified gunmen on 02/02/2025 on the southern precinct of the General Security in the city of Jableh in the countryside of Latakia, resulting in clashes between the parties without any human casualties.
